In early September, Ecofisher’s from our Vancouver and Squamish offices volunteered their efforts at the Squamish shoreline cleanup. This event, part of a larger conservation initiative organized by the Vancouver Aquarium and WWF-Canada, provides Canadians an opportunity to join good Samaritans in their local communities to improve the well-being and vitality of Canada’s shorelines. According to the website, “in 2017, volunteers coordinated 1,075 cleanups and collected 35,664 kg of litter on 1,947 km of Canadian shoreline.” Awesome!
Thank you to all of the individuals that participated and continue to volunteer to support these initiatives. It’s amazing to see what we can accomplish when we come together! To learn more about how you can get involved, visit: http://shorelinecleanup.ca
