Deborah, the senior wildlife biologist at Ecofish, brings over 20 years of experience managing large assessment and monitoring projects in BC, Canada and the United States. Her wildlife experience spans from mountain top, designing wolverine DNA studies, to coastline, monitoring sea otter behaviour. At Ecofish, Deborah leads a talented group of wildlife and terrestrial biologists with broad experience, from rare plants to large mammals. She brings her passion for wildlife and natural habitat preservation and outstanding management skills to numerous industry sectors, including on-shore and off-shore energy, forestry, linear development, fisheries, and aquaculture.
Deborah’s leadership in the environmental consulting industry in BC is demonstrated by the key role she played with the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations and Environmental Assessment Office in developing guidelines and policies for environmental assessment. Ecofish clients rely on Deborah to help prepare regulatory applications and permits, assist in agency liaison meetings, and consult with multiple stakeholders. Deborah has industry leading expertise in developing mitigation plans and offsetting programs to support project construction and operations.
